Last-minute changes The operator warns that times can change for safety, weather, orders from the authorities or operational needs, and that the notice posted at the quay takes precedence over any last-minute change.

Faro Beach (Praia de Faro) has a year-round passenger ferry from the Portas do Mar quay on Rua da Porta Nova in Faro. The service is run by JUMP4Nature, Lda., a company based in Moncarapacho, near Olhão, which describes itself as the operator of the regular public passenger ferry between Faro and Faro Beach. Crossings run every day.
Between 2 November and 31 December 2026 the timetable has five sailings in each direction, seven days a week, with no separate weekend or public holiday table. The times are listed on this page. The published timetable ends on 31 December, so ring ahead if you plan to travel in January. JUMP4Nature does not publish how long the crossing takes.
Tickets are sold at the ticket office on the Portas do Mar quay. If you board at Faro Beach, you pay on board, and the same applies in Faro whenever the office is closed. Opening hours for the office are not published.
A one-way ticket costs €2.40 for adults and €1.15 for children aged 5 to 11. Returns are €4.10 and €2.30. These are final prices including tax. The price list does not mention children under five, so ask at the office before you travel.
Cyclists should read the bike rules carefully. Bikes go on a space-available basis, up to four per sailing, but not on departures from Faro between 12:00 and 15:00 or on departures from the beach after 17:00, and only two per sailing in July and August. Dogs and other animals must be on a lead and muzzled.
The operator warns that sailings can change at short notice for safety reasons, bad weather, instructions from the authorities or operational needs; if that happens, the notice posted at the quay is what counts. You can contact JUMP4Nature on +351 965 367 326, a Portuguese mobile number, or at [email protected]. Complaints can go through Portugal's electronic complaints book (Livro de Reclamações), and consumer disputes to CIMAAL, the Algarve arbitration centre.
- Get to the pier in good time: vehicle boarding can close before the departure time.
- Check the operator's notices on the day — bad weather, swell, fog or breakdowns can change or cancel crossings.
- Check where to buy your ticket and which travel passes or transport cards the route accepts.
